Quality Fabrics For Your Sunshades

We use only the highest quality fabrics available to ensure years of use with little to no maintenance. Not all solar screen material is created equally. Although we offer many options of screen material to choose from, we highly recommend utilizing our twill weave exterior screens (which is woven on a diagonal pattern) over the traditional box weave screens that are so common today. This twill weave screen is not only thicker and more durable, but it has a richer look and feel to it. After lowering your screens, the temperature of your lanai will drop by as much as 12-15 degrees on a hot summer day. In addition to blocking the sun, wind, and bugs, all while giving you great privacy, it is virtually rain impenetrable. Imagine your carpets and furniture remaining completely dry during rainy weather and your lanai bug-free in the evening! Our screens are not just for summer use. They also keep your lanai warm and more inviting during the cold windy winter months as well.

Often times we are installing our retractable screens over existing bug screens on the lanai. This is where the twill weave really excels. When using a traditional box weave screen over an existing bug screen, a phenomenon known as the Moire' effect occurs. This happens as the incoming light rays are bent and diffracted resulting in a wavy pattern (much like zebra stripes) that can be very upsetting to the eyes. The twill weave pattern of our screen alleviates the Moire' effect leaving you with a great unobstructed view! So if you are looking for protection from the harsh Florida elements then these shades are just right for you.
